University Games

The São Carlos University Cup (Taça Universitária de São Carlos – TUSCA) is the largest and most traditional university and multisport competition in Brazil, which takes place in the city of São Carlos, in the state of São Paulo. It is organized by the Academic Athletic Association of UFSCar (AAAUFSCar, better known as Atlética Federal) and by the Athletic Academic Association Campus of São Carlos USP (AAACSC - USP, also known as Atlética CAASO). It is held in a date defined jointly with the mayor of São Carlos, with the purpose of stimulating the healthy practice of the sport, as well as the integration among the participants. The technical level of TUSCA is incomparable with other tournaments that have the same duration.

TUSCA is the largest party in the city, gathering around 30,000 people. The tournament, which takes place annually and lasts four days, brings together the two major universities in the city: USP and UFSCar. Other invited higher education institutions participate in the tournament and are chosen by the organization annually.
