Campus Sorocaba

Founded in 2005, it extends to an area of more than 700,000 m² and features administrative offices, academic centers and teaching and research labs. Aligned with the high development of its region, the campus offers courses and other academic and scientific activities in areas related to Business Management, Technology, Sustainability, and Humanities and Biological Sciences. UFSCar manages in Sorocaba the Tourism Observatory of São Paulo State (OTURESP) and the Outreach Center for Education, Technology and Culture (NETC-So), where actions that affect the whole community are promoted, as well as countless other achievements. The campus infrastructure is composed of academic buildings, labs, auditoriums, a library, university restaurant, ambulatory, sports complex and a running track.

Sorocaba is located 100 km from the city of São Paulo and has approximately 550 thousand inhabitants. It stands out for being a place of industrial development and innovation, hosting innovative companies in its Technologic Park. The city also has a strong inclination to tourism due to the sundry entertainment and cultural options that if offers.
